We offer custom travel packages starting at around NZ$1,500 per couple per day (US$1000) for 4-star accommodation, a rental car, and an activity. For 5-star options, costs begin at around NZ$2,500 per couple per day (US$1500). Top lodges can range from NZ$2,000 to NZ$8,000 per room per night. High-end accommodation costs in New Zealand are on the rise.

Our preferred method of payment is by direct bank transfer (telegraphic transfer). We also accept credit cards: Mastercard, Visa, American Express, China UnionPay (CUP), Discover & Diners, Japan Credit Bureau (JCB). Please note that a 3% credit card processing fee applies to all credit card transactions.

Most visitors who intend to stay for less than three months do not require a visa. Visitors need a valid passport and the right visa or an NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority). Your passport should be valid for at least three months beyond your intended departure date. The NZeTA is required for citizens of visa waiver countries. It is recommended to check the specific passport and visa requirements based on your nationality before traveling to New Zealand.

We develop customised itineraries that require: seamless planning, local knowledge and friendships, dedicated expertise, creativity and spontaneity. We discuss with you different travel modes, properties and activities comprehensively and transparently. Costs are made available to you for each line item. Newztravel team keeps in touch with our business partners from the hospitality and activities sector. We invest time to travel ourselves to the places we offer, keeping relationships and the knowledge up to date.

For our efforts (preparation and handling of the itinerary) we charge a management fee of 7.5% 

Newztravel can either alter one of the sample itineraries to exactly meet your requirements or you simply contact us with details of your vacation and we’ll tailor something special from scratch. After the arrival we pre-emptively manage weather, reschedule, add or cancel etc. We arrange restaurant bookings, theatre tickets, spa & beauty appointments, additional activities and cultural events. These are just some of the requests we can fulfil. Newztravel also provides professional and knowledgeable guides who will show you the very best of New Zealand.

We ensure that all the accommodations we use and recommend are capable of accommodating dietary requirements, including cultural and religious considerations, as well as allergies and personal food preferences.

New Zealand enjoys a temperate maritime climate, with mild temperatures, moderate rainfall, and abundant sunshine:

• Apr/May/June - Autumn: 5°C to 20°C or 41°F to 68°F
• July/Aug/Sep  - Winter: -5°C to 20°C or 23°F to 68°F
• Oct/Nov/Dec  -  Spring: 10°C to 25°C or 50°F to 77°F

Word of Advice: Better be prepared as NZ experiences rapid changes in weather, with rain, wind, and sunshine all possible in a single day with a fast temperature drop or climb as much as 20 degrees.

Power outlets - New Zealand's electricity supply runs at 230/240 volts, and we use angled two or three pin plugs (the same as Australia). Most hotels and motels provide 110 volt ac sockets (rated at 20 watts) for electric razors only.

Driving - Important road rules:
• Always drive on the left-hand-side of the road.
• Always keep on or below the legal speed limits indicated on road signs. 
• The maximum speed on any open road is 100km/h.
• The maximum speed in urban areas is 50km/h. Adjust your speed as conditions demand.
